INVITATION TO BID

Sealed bid proposals for

THE KLEIN MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM ADDITION AND RENOVATIONS

will be received at the Office of the

Klein Memorial Auditorium Foundation, Inc.

910 Fairfield Avenue

Bridgeport, CT 06605

Until 10:30 AM, June 8, 2023

when bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at The Klein

It is the responsibility of the vendor to be certain that all sealed bids are stamped in at the Office of the Klein Memorial Auditorium Foundation, Inc. (referred to as “KMAF” below) by the designated date and time, as determined by the clock of the KMAF Office.

There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting at the site on Monday May 22, 2023 @ 10:00 AM at the Klein Memorial Auditorium, 910 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.

Bid Documents and Addenda will be available for viewing and downloading upon registering at info@theklein.org after May 11, 2023.

Each bid shall be signed by the bidder and accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the Klein Memorial Auditorium Foundation, Inc.

Bids shall be submitted in triplicate. KMAF reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informality in bidding if it is determined by KMAF to be in the best interest of The Klein Memorial Auditorium, and KMAF.

The Klein Memorial Auditorium was created under the Last Will and Testament of Jacob B. Klein. Pursuant to the terms of his Will the City of Bridgeport accepted the Klein Memorial Auditorium as a gift for his stated purposes to be “under the absolute control, management and direction of the Board of Directors” of The Klein Memorial Auditorium Foundation, Inc. The grant contract with State of Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development is in the name of KMAF, and this building project and its contracts will identify KMAF as the owner.
