RE: New Covid-19 Safety Protocols
Effective Monday October 4, 2021 The Klein will implement new health safety protocols for events taking place inside our theater. These measures are intended to ensure safety of our patrons and staff, while also providing assurance to our community that attending Klein events meets all current standards.
Please adhere to the following protocols:
- Masks must be worn indoors by all persons at all times except when eating or drinking.
- Do not attend if you are feeling ill, have a temperature, or experience any symptoms related to Covid-19.
- For events where distancing is not possible (but there may be exceptions): Proof of either Covid vaccination (with ID) or negative Covid test result (with ID) within the previous 72 hours must be presented before entering the building. Children under 12 who are unvaccinated must show a negative test.
- The Klein has kept current with all regulations regarding air systems and special building maintenance, and strives to provide a clean, safe facility.

To our Klein patrons:
All of us at The Klein are delighted to once again welcome our performance companies and patrons. Since partially re-opening in December, we have operated with strict protocols to ensure the health and safety of our artists and patrons. We are extremely grateful for the cooperation we’ve received and are pleased to announce that some of those restrictions can now be lifted.
Effective June 1st, we will no longer require seating with social distancing (although some events have already been sold with spacing in mind), nor will we take temperatures at the door. Mask wearing, however, is still in force for now. We will carefully monitor the progress of vaccination, and once we are assured that it is safe to remove face masks, we will do so.
For most of this past year, I have participated in frequent discussions with other venue operators, as well as state and local officials. We share best possible scientific knowledge and recommendations, all to certify that each participating venue is doing its best to protect our patrons and community.
Thank you for your understanding. Please check our website for the latest updates. We have an exciting slate of events for summer and fall and will add events steadily. Join us! We look forward to seeing your smiling faces soon!
