Due to the restrictions brought on by COVID, our theater (like others) has faced a challenge like never before. Although live audiences have been reduced for the time
being, we have remained as active as possible and we're proud of the many things still happening in our theater:
- Our tuition-free Klein Theatre Arts classes for Bridgeport youth have continued, with all COVID procedures in place.
- Thanks to streaming equipment that was generously donated by dnr Laboratories, we've livestreamed various events including the School of Rock, Academy of New England
Ballet Company's Nutcracker, and several dance recitals & competitions. Because of the size of our stage, these organizations can safely distance.
- One of our resident organizations, the Greater Bridgeport Symphony, has recorded two concerts on our stage.
- In the fall, we held a series of socially-distanced outdoor concerts in our parking lot that were presented with Full Blast Booking.
- ReBirth Arts Collective held a 10-day West African Drum & Dance Workshop on our stage.
