Klein Theatre Arts: 10 Master Class Workshops

Free Admission | Come to one, or come to all!

Through a grant issued by the City of Bridgeport and the federal American Rescue Plan Act, The Klein is pleased to announce a series of free to the public master class workshops with professional artists in all fields of entertainment.

Each session will feature: (1) an interview with the guest artist to learn about his/her career path and influences, (2) a demonstration of the skills and craft of the artist’s field of endeavor, and (3) an interactive component where audience members are brought on stage to gain instruction in that craft. Maureen Hamill, Director of Education for Klein Theatre Arts, is the moderator.

No registration is necessary. There is ample space in our 1447-seat theater for social distancing. Masks are required. A livestream option is also available for all classes. Scroll down to view the livestream sign-up links.

Weekday classes start at 6:00PM, and Saturday classes start at Noon.

February 7 at 6PM:   CARL CARTER—Broadway and studio recording musician

February 15 at 6PM:   DAVID FRIEDMAN—Drama Desk Award winning composer

February 21 at 6PM:   RYAN PETERSON, CHRISTINE PITCAIRN OF LTD ANIMALS—Training animals for film and television

February 28 at 6PM:   BILL BOWERS—Actor on the artistry of mime

March 8 at 6PM:   RICHARD DOBBS—Television & documentary film director

March 15 at 6PM:   RANDYE KAYE—Voiceover artist and radio announcer

March 22 at 6PM: CADY HUFFMAN—Tony Award-winner presents A Night of Broadway Choreography
