The Spring Concert will no longer be taking place on May 17th. Refunds will be issued to those who purchased tickets.
GCTYO’s Spring Concert features the winner of the GCTYO Concerto Competition as soloist accompanied by Principal Orchestra. In addition, each GCTYO ensemble will show its finest colors in the grand finale concert of GCTYO’s regular season.

Greater Connecticut Youth Orchestras (formerly Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestras) has been inspiring and educating young musicians since 1961. Our holistic approach to music education means we challenge students at every stage of their music development while making sure they feel supported by their conductors and peers. GCTYO’s young musicians develop their talents beyond what they possible and feel pride and joy in their accomplishments. The study of great music in an ensemble setting can be a transformative experience for young musicians and the skills they learn as part of the orchestra – teamwork, perseverance, responsibility – carry over into all areas of their lives. Students spend their years in GCTYO working their way up to Principal Orchestra which plays major classical works, including complete symphonies, at concerts throughout the year.
