About the bands
Paul Gabriel is a Blues Music Award nominated guitarist, singer and songwriter. In March
2018 he was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Connecticut Blues Society for excellence in guitar playing, singing and songwriting; also for outstanding bandleader and
entertainer. In July 2018 he was inducted into the CT Blues Hall Of Fame as a Master Blues Artist.
He has shared the stage with B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, Muddy Waters Band, Mick Taylor, Johnny Winter, Roomful Of Blues, Sugar Ray and The Bluetones, and many, many more, and toured
with Michael Bolton. His latest release, ‘Paul Gabriel- What’s The Chance’ was produced by Duke Robillard for Shining Stone Records and was nominated for a Blues Music Award in
2014.
Scott Spray is one of America’s most recorded bassists, logging thousands of studio hours and appearing on approximately 1000 albums. Most recently, Scott spent 15+ years as the recording and touring bassist for legendary Bluesman, Johnny Winter. Spray supplied his smooth and steady bass grooves for Winter’s final album, “STEP BACK”......which won the 2015 Grammy Award for Best Blues Album. He is a sought after studio and live performance icon with credits galore.
Though he holds a British passport and is an inductee of the British Blues Hall of Fame, Matt Schofield has been making his mark globally as one of the top players in the new class of six string wunderkinds.
The Los Angeles Daily News wrote, ‘ In Schofield, the UK has produced the best Blues guitarist from any country in decades… head and shoulders above the herd’, while Guitar & Bass Magazine rated him in the top ten British blues guitarists of all time ranking him with icons Eric Clapton and Peter Green.
A truly original sound that is creating a big wave throughout the USA, Anthem provides musical enchantment and diversity for lovers of all reggae, from roots to dancehall.
Anthem is a diverse family that wants everyone to have as much fun listening to the music as they do playing it.
The live shows provide entertainment for your ears and your eyes, and raise the vibe to levels unlike any you have previously experienced. Come vibe with Anthem to experience the harmonious
sounds of the new millennium!
Chris D'Amato, aka Smokin' Opey, has been playing blues guitar professionally for the past 30 years. He is equally adept in acoustic or electric band settings, and is at home playing many styles of blues and slide guitar. Whether Chris is coaxing sounds of the Delta from his steel bodied National guitar, fingerpicking piedmont style rags or flatpicking colorful melodies on a vintage gibson, one can hear every style of Americana he has absorbed along the way. Chris’s guitar playing will surely captivate fans of true roots music. Chris is a two-time Connecticut Blues Society solo/duo finalist and a finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
The Zambonis are Connecticut’s — make that the world’s — only all-hockey band. The Zambonis take hockey so seriously they sought (and received) permission to use the trademarked name of the ubiquitous ice resurfacer. Over the years, the group’s songs have been featured on ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” ESPN2, FOX Sports, “NHL Live” on Sirius/XM Radio and on syndicated hockey programs including “Hockey Week” and “Cool Shots,” as well as in hockey arenas across the country. The band has even performed at two NHL all-star games, in 2002 and 2011.
